Permanent residents (PR) of Canada must carry and present their valid\n PR card or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a \nflight to Canada, or traveling to Canada on any other commercial \ncarrier. If you do not carry your PR card or PRTD, you may not be able \nto board your flight, train, bus or boat to Canada. It is your \nresponsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you \nreturn from travel outside Canada, and to apply for a new PR card when \nyour current card expires.<\/p>\n

New entry requirement now in effect: visa-exempt foreign nationals \nwho fly to or transit through Canada need an Electronic Travel \nAuthorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with\n a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and \nCanadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.<\/p>\n
